The National Observatory serves as a national platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange on the implementation of the EU Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) and energy audit systems.

The National Observatory serves as a national platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange on the implementation of the EU Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) and energy audit systems. Coordinated by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) in cooperation with the Ministry of Climate and Green Growth, SCCM, Informatiepunt Leefomgeving, and Omgevingsdienst NL, the Observatory brings together key national and regional stakeholders. Its objective is to harmonise practices, support enterprises in meeting energy management and audit obligations under the revised EED Article 11, and promote transparency, quality, and consistency in certification and compliance. Through this joint effort, the Observatory strengthens the Netherlands’ transition toward a more energy-efficient and sustainable economy.
