Introduction  

The first meeting of the Lithuanian National Observatory gathered stakeholders to discuss national experiences with energy audits and management systems within the LEAPto11 project. Presentations addressed new requirements of the Energy Efficiency Directive, identification of obligated companies, and the role of public authorities. The session concluded with reflections and networking among Observatory members.

Key Outcomes   

  • Need to prepare tools: Standardised online form or platform for annual energy consumption reporting and a conversion calculator for energy use in GWh. 
  • Enhance company guidance and communication: Prepare a short guide / FAQ on reporting procedures and ensure timely communication from authorities regarding companies’ obligations.  
  • Strengthen EMS oversight and compliance: Involve the National Accreditation Bureau in future discussions on EMS monitoring and ensure effective supervision by authorised institutions.
